1. Privacy Policy

1.1 Who We Are

Sam the Prompt helps users create or improve text prompts by calling the OpenAI API.

1.2 Data We Collect and Process

User‑provided content ("Prompt Content")
- What: text you enter in the App.
- Purpose: sent to OpenAI to generate / refine a prompt; also saved so you can revisit it later.
- Storage: yes — encrypted at rest on our servers.
- Sharing: yes — transmitted to OpenAI for processing.
App diagnostics (optional)
- What: crash logs & basic, non‑personal technical data.
- Purpose: improve stability & debug issues.
- Storage: no.
- Sharing: no.

We collect no personal identifiers, contact info, location, device IDs, advertising IDs, photos, audio, or payment data.

We do not use data for advertising, marketing, or cross‑app tracking.

1.3 Data We Collect

We store user-provided content, including:

Prompt text submitted by the user
Conversations and responses generated during prompt building
Saved prompts and session interactions

This data is stored securely and is only visible to the user. It is not shared with third parties.

1.4 Data Deletion

Users may delete all stored data at any time using the "Delete Account & All Data" button in the app.

1.5 Use of Third‑Party Services

Prompt Content is sent via HTTPS to OpenAI, LLC. OpenAI returns the generated or improved prompt.

No other analytics, ad SDKs, or social‑login services are used.

1.6 Legal Basis for Processing

Legitimate Interest (GDPR Art. 6 (1)(f)) — operating core App functionality.
Consent — by tapping Generate, you consent to send Prompt Content to OpenAI.

1.7 Data Retention & Deletion

Stored Prompt Content remains until you delete it (long‑press a prompt → "Delete").
Diagnostic logs (if enabled) auto‑delete after 30 days.
Email deletion requests are fulfilled within 72 hours.

1.8 Data Security

TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit.
AES‑256 encryption at rest.
Role‑based server access with MFA.

1.9 Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If a child has submitted Prompt Content, contact us and we will delete it.

1.10 Your Rights (GDPR / CPRA)

You may access, delete, or object to processing of your stored prompts at any time via in‑app controls or by email.

2. Terms of Service

2.1 License

We grant you a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non‑commercial purposes.

2.2 User Obligations

Comply with all applicable laws.
Do not upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
Do not reverse‑engineer or interfere with the App.

2.3 Intellectual Property

We own the App, trademarks, and code. You own your Prompt Content and any AI output you create.

2.4 Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

2.5 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the App or AI output.

2.6 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your jurisdiction]. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in [Your city] unless prohibited by local law.

3. AI‑Generated Content Disclaimer

Sam the Prompt uses AI models provided by OpenAI. Outputs may contain errors, outdated information, or bias. Always verify AI‑generated text before relying on it.

4. Security & Vulnerability Disclosure Policy

Found a security issue?

Email security@[your‑domain].com with a detailed description and steps to reproduce.
Please do not publish the issue before we confirm a fix or agree on a disclosure timeline.

We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve critical issues within 30 days.

5. Accessibility Statement

We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance in both app and website. Encounter a barrier? Email accessibility@[your‑domain].com and we'll address it as soon as possible.

6. Support Policy

Scope: installation issues, bug reports, clarification of AI behaviour (no professional, legal, or medical advice)

7. App Removal & Data Export Policy

If the App is ever discontinued:

Users will receive 30 days' notice via in‑app message and (if provided) email.
A one‑tap Export Prompts button will let you download your saved prompts as JSON or TXT.
After the export window, all server‑stored prompts will be permanently deleted within 60 days.

8. Open‑Source Software Notices

This application includes open‑source software. Full license texts follow each library name below.
